This year's festival is taking place on
Saturday 6th September at High/Farm, Elwick in Hartlepool (see maps & directions).

Despite the bad weather we've had, the event is still going ahead, although anybody attending may need to bring their wellies as the ground is a little bit damp!

Tickets are selling fast, so anybody wishing to come along to the event who hasn't yet bought tickets is advised to get them now.

VEHICLE PARKING TICKETS HAVE SOLD OUT!!  THEREFORE, ANYONE WISHING TO COME TO THE FESTIVAL WHO DOESN'T HAVE A VEHICLE PARKING TICKET (green ticket) WILL NEED TO BE DROPPED OFF, AS WE HAVE NO MORE SPACE ON THE FESTIVAL SITE FOR VEHICLES.

DUE TO THE WEATHER CONDITIONS WHICH HAVE HELD US BACK DURING THE SITE BUILD OVER THE PAST WEEK, THE GATES TO THE FESTIVAL SITE WILL NOW OPEN AT 12.30PM ON SATURDAY, AS OPPOSED TO 11.00AM AS PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED. THERE WILL BE NO ADMISSION ONTO THE SITE BEFORE THIS TIME. WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THAT THIS MAY CAUSE.

Elwick Village Shop, The McOrville and The Spotted Cow will be open from 9.00am serving refreshments while people wait for the festival site to open.

The first band kicks off around 1.00pm and live music runs through 'til around 11.00pm. A dj will finish the night off in the bar. The bar opens at 11.00am and runs through until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Children aged 11 or under are admitted free. Children 12 years and over will require a ticket. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.

There will be a licensed bar on the festival site and whilst we allow small amounts of drinks to be brought in from outside the site, we would ask that drinks not purchased from the festival bar to be kept to an absolute minimum. There is a limit on the amount of drinks that can be brought onto the site, as the survival of the festival is heavily dependant upon bar-takings. The bar prices will be reasonable, so please help us to keep the festival going by using the festival bar.

FESTIVAL RULES:

TICKETS - No refunds will be given. Tickets are non-transferable. Duplicate tickets will not be issued to replace lost or stolen tickets. The band line-up and any billed attractions may be subject to change. The Pig Pen Music Festival reserves the right to refuse entry to the event.

WRISTBANDS - Upon arrival to the festival site, you must present your ticket. The ticket stub will then be removed and you will be fitted with a wristband. Your wristband must be worn at all times while on the festival site. If you remove or tamper with your wristband, it may render the wristband invalid and you risk being escorted from the site.

BBQs & CAMPFIRES - Small fires and barbeques are permitted in the camping area, but must be kept under control and operated in a safe and responsible manner. Any campfire considered too large or unsafe will be extinguished. Fires and barbeques are not permitted anywhere else on the festival site other than in the camping area.

PROHIBITED ITEMS - The following items are prohibited on the festival site; glass bottles or glassware, illegal substances, petrol canisters, or any receptacles containing petrol or any other fuel, fireworks, lasers, weapons of any description, or any items considered to be dangerous. Random searches may be carried out and anyone found in possession of any of the above may have the item confiscated and risk being escorted from the site.

LICENSED BAR - There will be a licensed bar selling alcohol, soft drinks and cigarettes. Alcohol and cigarettes will not be sold to anyone under the age of 18. Anyone who appears to be under the age of 21 may be asked for proof of age.

ANIMALS - Pets are not permitted on the festival site.

The Pig Pen Music Festival will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage sustained at the event, including damage, theft or losses to property or motor vehicles.

Ticket-holders may be subject to continuous sound levels which may cause potential damage to hearing.

By purchasing a ticket, the ticket-holder consents to any filming or sound recording intended for public broadcast, or by on-site CCTV.

OTHER INFO:

CAMPING - The camping/auditorium area opens at 11.00am on Saturday 6th September. Anyone arriving before this time will be turned away. The site must be vacated by midday on Sunday 7th September.
